Review of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 (2015) by Jacob B — 20 Jul 2016
At the conclusion of the series, The Hunger Games finally delivers the film it needed to. Mockingjay Part 2 has a similar feel to Harry Potter's Deathly Hallows Part 2, in that it doubles the scale of the modest efforts of its first half and builds to a strong close.
Alma Coin's alternative ending perhaps might have made the conclusion as action-packed as the second act was, but compared to the rest of the series, Mockingjay Part 2 delivers, with Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson at their fiery best.
