Review of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 (2015) by Simon S — 25 Jul 2016
WHAT I LIKED: This series just gets more thoughtful and thematic as it progresses, with the final installment bringing a close to a franchise that manages to explore the nature of politics and war in interesting and exciting ways. It also undoubtably rounds out Katniss well, and concludes the series brilliantly overall.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE: It's also undoubtable that the last book was unneccessarily dragged out, and consequently the impactive/exciting moments in this seem somewhat lost and convoluted.
VERDICT: The last hunger games is a well constructed and thoughtful film, but it's shame it's not as epic as it is dragged out.
