After seeing this, I have no idea why part 1 was necessary. They could have condensed all of part 1 and the first hour of part 2 into one hour of a single Mockingjay film. Then, they could have gotten to the second hour of part 2 where this movie finally got interesting.
As a stand-alone film, Mockingjay is just sort of okay. But, it served as a "good enough" conclusion to the franchise.
