Review of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 (2014) by Mark J — 02 May 2015
Solid film that sets the tone for what could be an epic finale. This film focuses a lot more on character development and the more dystopian elements to the story and does it so well that the lack of action doesn't really matter.
But what is hindering me from loving this franchise is that it is just that a franchise and it focuses a lot on the stupid love triangle and other things that appeal to tween girls instead of using that precious time to add more world-building.
But for what it is I really really enjoyed it more than the first two.
