Mockingjay - Part 1 is the weakest film in the series, mainly due to the fact that it's been split into two parts. Because of this, the film is stretched thin, leaving little of the intensity that made the first two installments so thrilling, despite their flaws.
However, it is not a bad movie: there is a very smart political agenda here, and the performances are strong as ever, most of all Jennifer Lawrence and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
