MockingJay Pt. 1 is the third and final installment to the hunger games series and the producers decided to make the final book into two movies. Ookkk?? Ya this movie had no need to be split into two films what goes on in 2 hours of this film could literally be like 45 minutes if it was one big movie.

It's like if Catching Fire was split into two films and the whole part one was Katniss and Peeta visiting every district saying there thank yous. But I'm not completely trashing this film. I actually like this movie more than most people.

I think for what the movie gave it was solid material. The easier way to describe this film is Katniss is doing a series of propaganda campaigns to gather followers to revolt against the Capitol and to save the other tributes.

There's 2 hours for ya. Biggest flaw in MockingJay Pt.1 is the action. There's very little and it makes the movie slow and drag on through a lot of scenes. But one of the reasons this movie is so great is the acting.

Jennifer Lawrence gives another stellar performance as Katniss Everdeen and shows why she is one of the best actresses in film. And she's not hard to look at.;) This movie is beautifully made. The visual effects are amazing and very appealing.

The look of a destructed Panem and the citizens emotion gives a good perspective on how the evil Capitol is taking over everyone's lives. President Snow is a badass villain though. Everything he does makes him a perfect antagonist and that's one of the best things things the producers did with the franchise.

And the ending scene, I'll admit I was a little frightened It leaves you questioned and anxious to see the how things will go down in the final film. Overall I enjoyed Mocking Jay pt 1. Aside from its lack of action and character development, it is still a decent film to watch.

In the end I hope it leads to a big finale in pt.2 and will be one of the better films in the franchise.
