Review of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 (2014) by Bmaster46166 — 22 Nov 2014
Its really just okay to me. There's plenty of flaws because of how they stretch the hell out of it. Manly because of the idiotic splitting of the final chapter. There's scenes of them just walking around for like three minutes or of them just sitting there in silence for three minutes. I don't get it. The book is small enough for one movie. The movie is half down and the conclusion to this one felt that way. Just ends. This more about the story then the movie (fault is manly on Susan), it's about political gain for majority of the movie. Just trying to outwit the other ones with the better/more powerful message. Nonsense really. The action and CGI is pretty strong and the performance.
S by the cast was the best out of the series, so that boasts it up a lot. The dramatic tension of who's dying or whats goes going to happen next was pretty powerful. The haunting details and showings of death, destruction, fear, etc.were powerful. Its just bogged down by a slow and boring plot, not enough fighting, half a movie, dumb plot about political power, etc. Overall I enjoyed it but nothing special and the worst of the series. 7.
