Review of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 (2014) by Talhalafci — 19 Dec 2014
As a very big fan of the series, I do think it would be better if they haven't split the book into two films (but they did).Although there are some wrongs, it is a good film in general. The most successful thing about The Hunger Games is its dark atmosphere, especially in Catching Fire but Mockingjay Part I fails to keep that up.
Acting was very good, Jennifer Lawrence and the rest of the cast was good as always but I have to mention Josh Hutcherson's magnificent performance as Peeta and Julianne Moore's smooth portrait of President Coin.
In conclusion, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 is a very good film but of course not as good as the second one.Catching Fire is the best of the series and I don't think that Part 2 will pass that.
