Review of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 (2014) by Simplemethod — 02 Dec 2014

Catching Fire was so great, and now we have this. Mockingjay is literally 100% build-up to a payoff we won't be seeing until November of next year, and that's really frustrating. The pace here isn't great either, and I was pretty bored throughout.

There's not too much going. The movie feels like about 45 minutes of plot stretched out over two hours, and it's just unnecessary. While I have no doubt Part 2 will be stellar, this was disappointing.
