Review of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 (2014) by Sarita K — 31 Oct 2015
The Hunger Games series is getting worse with each installment. Mockingjay Part I is filled with scenes pf Jennifer Lawrence staring slack-jawed at the horrors that occur (mostly off screen) or hoarsely screaming (someone, please tell her that this is not a sign of good acting - it's distracting and cringe-inducing).
The side characters continue to waste screen time gabbing about how Katniss should present herself on camera. Gale has a slightly bigger role, but still feels like an afterthought in this series, one who has to be re-introduced with each movie.
Very disappointed. No action, no sense of suspense. Boring movie.
