Saw this on 10/3/14.

This is an unessential movie, made just for satisfying the pockets of the producers and the studio. At least they showed some sincerity when the ripped Hobbit and last installment of Harry Potter into pieces and our Mockingjay part 1 is equivalent to the split up of Twilight Breaking Dawn. It would never have been that bad had the second film not been that good, but as a sequel to the best movie in the series, Mockingjay is yet again disappointing. Not only is it lacking action, but also it lacks on emotional quotient as well as tension. jennifer Lawrence seems to be acting with her Oscar hangover and her male counterparts have scarce screen time to produce anything remarkable. For the brighter side, the acting of Juliane Moore and Philip Seymour Hoffman are spot on. The cinematography of the film is also a big dud when compared to it's predecessor as it's an eye sore to watch most of those scenes and poor lighting and shaky camerawork add nothing but grief.
