The first Hunger Games movie was a great movie. This was much better. It was the best sequel I've seen in a long time. It had great characters, and great acting, while being completely coherent. There were very few missteps, if any, in the way this movie was made. (Side Note: Jennifer Lawrence is even better than I remember her.).
You don't need to be a fan of the books to like the movie. It stands alone effectively. If you, (like me), did like the books, this movie is even more amazing than it would otherwise be.
