Review of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013) by R. S — 01 Nov 2015
This film lays on the tension right from the start; the feeling of being hunted never really lets up. Although her demeanor is pretty sour throughout, it's exciting to see the way her defiance is beginning to catch on among those around her.
The games seemed a little less barbaric this time, if only because the tributes were seasoned veterans. Highlighting the different skills each person/pair used to survive was a nice touch. I kind of got lost at the end though--one minute they're planning to electrocute their remaining adversaries, the next the revolution has begun? Why? How much of what happened was planned? How did they know Katniss would destroy the arena? SO MANY QUESTIONS.
