Review of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013) by Corry P — 09 Jun 2015
This sequel to the Hunger Games is surprisingly better than the original: the direction is far better (gone is the shaky cam from the first installment), the action is more intense and is staged very well, and the dark, mature themes of the series are better explored.
Even Josh Hutcherson's acting as improved, and Jennifer Lawrence, Woody Harrelson, Donald's Sutherland, and Philip Seymour Hoffman are all great in their roles.
