Review of The Hunger Games (2012) by T.j. W — 17 Jun 2014
This gritty re-imaging of Suzanne Collins novel of the same name, translates very well onscreen. However, one thing I did not like was the constant overuse of shaky cam and the low lighting. Francis Lawrence is definitely a step up from Gary Ross.
The acting is well done, especially from Jennifer Lawrence, Donald Sutherland and Woody Harrelson. I liked Liam Hemsworth's acting better than Josh' s. The effects left a little to be desired, but overall a enjoyable movie.
