Complaints first - the shaky camera work is distracting for the first half of the movie. I was disappointed in the how the love story began, but intrigued to see where it proceeds in the second film. Beyond that, this spectacle kept me thrilled and chilled equally.

The contrast between District 12 and the Capitol City is astonishing and depressing. The games themselves were dark and enjoyable... it reminded me of the game Assassins... with much higher stakes. and yes, I cried.

but it's okay, so did everybody else...
