Review of The Hunger (1983) by Magdalena L — 09 Feb 2008
As a teenager, I thought this was the coolest vampire flick ever. In hindsight, I realize it's probably not the masterpiece I thought it was, but that doesn't mean it's not a stylishly entertaining film.
The opening sequence with the premier Goth rock band of all time, Bauhaus, playing the perennial Goth rock anthem, Bela Lugosi's Dead, makes this film a must-see. Plus David Bowie and the beautiful Catherine DeNeuve star.
Hmm...maybe this film is the coolest vampire flick ever, after all...
