Review of The Hundred-Foot Journey (2014) by Jeanette R — 22 Aug 2014
This movie is not for everyone, but it is definitely for me. This is familiar territory (The Chef, Ratatouille, etc.) plot-wise, but there is a uniqueness in this film. Two competing restaurants fighting for customers end up joining together in the thing they have in common: The love for food.
The emotional connection of the chef and taster. And there is an important lesson that I personally took out of this. The flavor is in the people that bring out the best taste in you as much as the best food will come with the risks you take in your journey.
