Review of The Hundred-Foot Journey (2014) by Melissa M — 31 Aug 2014
An amazing romantic journey of food as I know it and as I was taught it by my family. The imagery hit me hard, holding my breathe almost constantly throughout the film only because it was too familiar and it made me tear often. Making good food that makes people happy is what I strive to be and being just a cook I strive to become better everyday. From the world's of mum and dad Hassan learned and trained and became an amazing cook. that touched me having come from the same roots I couldn't help to feel alive on screen. Tearing...
I know one day I will be come that cook that nurtures and remembers what makes a good meal; the land, its produce, my love for life and food and the people around me that I call family. It was truly a fucking amazing meal.
