Review of The Hundred-Foot Journey (2014) by Richard M — 07 Sep 2014
This was a nice film that lacked the magic of some others in the genre. There are of course highlights that makes it worth seeing however it was lacking at times and felt a bit drawn out. Helen Mirren is of course wonderful and the dad equally so in his own enigmatic way.
I did laugh at the ease at which this Indian family ended up opening a restaurant in France with seemingly no issue insofar as visa's are concerned - that part just reinforced that it was indeed Opera and Spielberg's mindset and not real life.
