The story is centered around Hasan Kadam (Manish Dayal), a young man from India who has always shown talent with food, from his early days growing up working in the family restaurant in India. When te family flees to England and then France, they establish a restaurant across the road from a French haute cuisine restaurant run by Madame Mallory (Helen Mirren).
Soon it is war between Papa and Madame Mallory. While there is some humour, the real star of this movie is its scenery; it was filmed in the south west of France, with gorgeous locations.
