Review of The Hunchback of Notre Dame II (2002) by Éric I — 07 Dec 2011
Hunchback of Notre Dame II, I have said, or maybe not, that some films for children may not be very painstaking when you see them with them. Sometimes things can be very enjoyable with them. It is always great when a film comes along that is for anyone at any age.
Disney has managed to provide some great ones in 90s, but the consequences of successful animated film will lead to cash cows. The Hunchback of Notre Dame II is one perfect of a sequel that is very unnecessary.
Lon Chaney may immortalize the Quasimodo role, but the role would be revisited a few more times. This film here has Tom Hulce as Quasi looking for love since Esmeralda (Demi Moore) choose the Captain, so what does a hunchback have to do around in Notre Dame? Well, he could talk to his gargoyle buddies with one of them being Jason Alexander.
Elsewhere, the circus comes to town with buffoon of a villain that wants to steal a precious bell from Notre Dame. He sends Madeline (Jennifer Love Hewitt) to steal it despite her reluctance and desire to start her own career.
Well what do you know! Quasi is looking for some companionship and Madeline is looking for a new life and lover. Is there a chance that these two will cross and good fortune will come? In crappy cash cow film, that is very likely.
Hunchback II is long forgettable along with irritable singing and music, characters, plot, and villain who has a plot to steal a bell that will definitely sink a canoe!
