Review of The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939) by Scott C — 21 Jun 2013
Great performance by Laughton. Amazing that they could pull off that make-up artistry in 1939! Slow in some parts, but the themes regarding progressive thinking (gypsies) versus religious gobbledigook was interesting.
Haven't read the novel, but read that is strays greatly from the source material.
