Review of The Human Comedy (1943) by Matthew N — 29 Sep 2015
I didn't think that one movie could take the cornball sappy 1940s american ideal tripe dished out by the likes of Frank Capra and take it to 11, then I saw this film. The difference being that Capra gave his films a charming optimism of what this country can be and ought to be.
This film just dishes it out expecting everyone to mop it up. Not even the dialogue given to display a 5 year old seems realistic. The pace of the film is decent and the actors play the part given to them but other than not much to this film.
