In general, I have a serious problem with gross. I covered my eyes during certain scenes in the Saw series of films, fast forwarded through the worst Jackass segments... That sort of thing. I was fully prepared to react similarly at Human Centipede... and I would have... Except for the fact that this film's concept is so totally wrong, so completely disturbing that I simply could not... look... away. Many times when watching a movie or television show, I've found myself asking, "Who thought of that?" During this movie I thought the same thing... Out of genuine concern.
Cinematically? Beautiful scene work, great use of space and shadows... Creepy as all get out. And the main actor? The doctor? Genius!
