Review of The Hudsucker Proxy (1994) by Radek C — 21 Mar 2009
My personal icon of cinematography! Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant! Coens at their best where they combine a drama, a love story and an absurd comedy while dealing with the myth of American Dream and exposing mechanisms of a major corporation.
Set in my most favourite time frame, early 1900s', in America with sinister settings and amusing performances, Coens created a universal and memorable show, which will appeal to everyone. Highly recommended!
