The quintessential werewolf film. Maybe not the original, and, maybe not the absolute best (that award goes without doubt to An American Werewolf in London), but undoubtedly scary, erotic and well acted, produced & directed.
Like all good horror films, it keeps you on the edge of your seat and sends shivers down your spine. A true horror classic. It was also one of the original franchise films, which Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday 13th (which actually came before Howling) and, more latterly, Scream and Scary Movie have capitalized on.
