Review of The Howling (1981) by Jeff B — 07 Jul 2007
I saw this for the first time the other night on AMC. It probably would've been better if it wasn't edited for content. I wish it didn't take so long to introduce the werewolf. The first half was pretty bland but the second half was much better.
The werewolf transformation was cool (though I've seen better in An American Werewolf in London and Romasanta) and the action scenes were also well done. A couple of entertaining scares, such as the woman looking for the files.
I've seen a couple of the other Howling films when I was really yougn, so I'll probably rewatch those soon.
