Review of The Howling (1981) by Trent C — 04 Nov 2007
This would be a great movie if it didn't take so darned long to get going. It's not Joe Dante's best film by a long shot, but the transformations are awesome, and I think the werewolves are the scariest looking werewolves on celluloid.
The changes to werewolf lore are a great addition, and Dee Wallace makes pretty much any movie better. The slow pace just really drags this movie down though.
