In my experience, werewolf films generally suck...The Howling is not one of these films. Dark, brooding, and brutal, The Howling turns lycanthropy into a a cultlike conspiracy. By starting with a serial killer, THe Howling grounds itself in the Real and neve realtents throughout the picture.
