Joe Dante directs one of the best werewolf movies. While I personally dig An American Werewolf more, The Howling is excellent in its own right. A reporter plagued by a creepy stalkers attack goes to a remote spot that is filled with werewolves.
The characters are creepy and sinister. The wolf finale is great too. The werewolf transformations are well done.
