Review of The Howling (1981) by Andrew M — 30 Jun 2008
Brilliant Joe Dante picture. Best werewolves I've ever seen (though the film isn't quite as good as AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON). The sense of humour is a bit too 70s (that's bad) but the sense of horror is too (and that's good!).
I particularly enjoy/find memorable Robert Picardo's brilliant character, Eddie Quist. A small player in Gary Brander's (enjoyable, but not great) book, here turned into a major, awesoem character.
