Worth seeing for shot composition alone, this tries without success to invert the original. In the process it largely loses the femme fatale, Noir structure and Imamura influences, replacing them with sensation and style that try too hard to impress.
You Yuh-Jung is great as senior to the title role, lending depth, humor and key ironic comment.
