Review of The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018) by Jake C — 20 Dec 2018
Creator of hit series Supernatural Eric Kripke and renowned horror director Eli Roth shift gears and helm a movie for a much younger audience. The House with a Clock in Its Walls is a fantastic adventure filled with humor, magic, and even a few scares but most importantly it's immensely enjoyable.
Black and Blanchett were amazing and newcomer Owen Vaccaro proves himself a capable actor even amongst Hollywood giants. My only complain is the predictability of the plot which is understandable as it's adapted from a children's book but some silliness could've been avoided or replaced with some action.
