Review of The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018) by Sam W — 24 Sep 2018
It has some neat ideas, some creepiness, some comedy and plenty of weirdness, but it doesn't have the magic of other films in the genre. The story tries to cram too much in and as it focuses on Lewis, it misses out on more interesting parts of the plot.
The film also feels too long and the ending is very rushed. The cast and special effects are good and overall, it's entertaining enough, but it doesn't do enough to stand out.
