Review of The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018) by Cal W — 06 Oct 2018
Somehow this misses its way. It tries to be a children's film, a magic film even a minor horror film but fails to do all three. Only the boy Lewis hits the mark. In the end it resorts, as too many films do unfortunately, to pure and overmuch CGI special effects.
It's no Mary Poppins (the 1960s one) NOT the remake which I've yet to see.
