This could almost have been made in the 70s - another one of those sensationally-titled, lurid-sounding horrors that either disappoints or impresses, depending on your outlook. If you like slow-burn, creepy horrors that spill unexpectedly, and brutally, into sudden bloodshed then this might appeal.

If you like sleazy bloodbaths of the giallo variety, then this probably won't float your boat. Ti West certainly has an eye for the vintage and, ignoring his now-disowned "Cabin Fever 2", may well be a talent to watch.
