Review of The House of the Devil (2009) by Gordon B — 08 Jun 2010

I absolutely loved the way this movie was shot. As an ode to the horror movies of the 80's it was shot in low res and even had throwback title and credit shots. It does start out slow, but it really is setting up the character of Samantha, who is hired to watch a strange couples grandmother, but before too long not all is as it seems.

I really enjoyed the sense of dread and creepiness the house exhumed. This is definitely for any horror fans...especially ones who can appreciate a good story.
