Review of The House of the Devil (2009) by Manuel A — 16 Jul 2010
Ti West gives us a clichéd, predictable 80's horror film, but makes a very well acted, well shot, and one that scared the crap out of me. It avoids the gore-fest/thrill-a-minute trends of today's horror films and instead Very slowly builds the atmosphere to one of unbearable tension.
I (unfortunately) decided I had to pause it for a moment to relax. A very satisfying horror film. My new favorite.
