Review of The House of the Devil (2009) by Trevor B — 17 Dec 2013
The 70's were my favorite decade for horror, and this film embraces a lot of the reasons why. Slow and steady wins the race, as is the case with the buildup of tension in this horror thriller. It's not too gory, and there's none of that cgi crap that has plagued modern horror for the past 15 years.
This is my first Ti West movie, and I'm hoping the rest of them will live up to my now-raised expectations.
