Ti West is a very hit and miss director. He directed one of the worst "short films" of all time which was featured in ABC's of Death, and he also directed this great piece of horror throwback.
It's tense and builds up to some great reveals, but where it shines the most is it's beautifully retro camera set ups and nice 70's - 80's horror tropes.
