Review of The House of the Devil (2009) by Gavin M — 07 May 2014

It's wonderfully shot (you feel like this film actually could have been filmed and released in the 80's), the build-up is intriguing and Jocelin Donahue is excellent in a role in which she is often onscreen herself (I'll be keeping an eye on her future work).

However, despite some good tension throughout, the demonic pay-off is seriously disappointing and overall the film just lacks any real substance.
