Review of The House of the Devil (2009) by Greg N — 02 Jul 2010
The film has a retro style harking back to the old horror movies of the '80's such as, Nightmare on Elm Street, or Friday the 13th, and it gives the film a great feel. The build-up to inevitable horror is masterful.
You wait and wait for the pay-off, which is slightly terrifying but it is all in the tension build for this fantasticly built genre flick.
