Review of The House of the Devil (2009) by Chelsea M — 07 May 2010

Instantly, I fell in love with the charm of it being a throwback flick. Keeping in line with legendary horror movies, the action doesn't pick up until the last twenty minutes, however. My modern attention span left me bored for at least half an hour while Samantha did the same thing over and over again, walk around checking out the house with a knife in hand.

There were no creepy clues really that she came across during her boring sweep to keep the viewer involved that weren't crammed into the end of the film. Overall, it was an alright rental but disappointing.
