Review of The House of the Devil (2009) by Trevor C — 16 Jun 2010

Its all really just one big creepy build up to the last, not entirely terrifying, more creepy last 20 minutes which then leads to the "OH MY GOD" ending few seconds before the credits start. this is definitely one of the best horror films made in the previous decade, not the most terrifying, but its got an extremely creepy atmosphere and masterful suspense that keeps you on the edge of your seat (supposing your in a chair [that has an edge]) until the amazing horrific climax.

few horror movies made today are this great (in America, at least, other countries have fantastic horror films), this is one of the few American horror movies made in modern times that is actually, truly "amazing".
