Review of The House of Mirth (2000) by Jennifer F — 07 Jun 2008
I'm somewhat torn. This is a favorite novel of mine and the film holds up, for the most part, for me (good sign). I adored Gillian Anderson's portrayal of Lily, and yet I found many of the other characters to be awkward and just poorly done.
Luckily, Lily is worth the rest.
