Review of The House of Mirth (2000) by Yvonne C — 19 Mar 2009
Great cast. gillian anderson plays a solid role as lily bart. you follow and feel the changes of miss bart from playing in inner circle of society to being an outcast at the end. a tragic end, but then I guess love conquers all, miss bart would rather die with a conscious rather than play the game she once played when it comes to her love for Lawrence Selden.
some would say she is stupid ... well her death is her freedom.
