Review of The House of Mirth (2000) by Lee M — 23 May 2014
A truly haunting, elegant, tragic, modern and perfectly directed adaptation of the Edith Wharton classic. The fact that Gillian Anderson didn't win (or was even nominated for) an Oscar for this performance is an embarrassment.
She's just PERFECT in this difficult and challenging role. I highly recommend it.
