Review of The House Bunny (2008) by Philip Z — 13 Oct 2013

This is a guilty pleasure of mine and it's a good example of how the right cast can inject life into limp material. Anna Faris is a gifted comedienne and she can make almost anything funny. You can see, even in this film, why Emma Stone would go on to become a movie star, and Kat Dennings is always reliable as the adorable snarky chick.

Sure, the screenplay is as vapid as Faris' character, which is why I can't call it anything but a guilty pleasure, but the performances elevate it above the usual Happy Madison production.
