Review of The House Bunny (2008) by Emma G — 03 Jan 2011
The House Bunny was soo hilarious! I'm shocked that I hadn't seen it any sooner because I totally loved it! The story is really really funny, but at the same time, it can relate to many different people who are bullied and just want to fit in.
Shelly really isn't afraid of being herself and all she wants is for her Zeta girls to shine! Anna Faris was the perfect choice for Shelly, but I fear that she will now be typecasted in Hollywood for playing these dumb blonde roles (ex: the Scary Movie series, and Just Friends).
She is great at dishing out those hilarious one-liners and on her comic timing. Also, Emma Stone just shone in this movie! I love her comiedic timing and her unique characterization. Her star is definetly on the rise! The Zeta girls were such a great group and each one had thier own distinct personality and feat to overcome.
I loved the locations used for shooting, like the Playboy Mansion and the cameos by Hef and the girls was very clever, even though those girls are so 2009! Haha! Overall, The House Bunny was clever and hilarious! It's a must see for any comedy fan!
